I am a freelance photographer specializing in landscape, portrait and wedding photography.
I have been passionate about landscape photography ever since I bought my first camera. My pursuit of landscape images has taken me to some of the remotest parts of the world. I try to capture various moods of nature and specialize in the landscapes of mountains, particularly those in the Karakoram and Himalayan mountain ranges.
Portrait photography is also an important part of my work. While taking portraits, I try to combine my passion for emotion, mood and creativity. I fully appreciate the importance of recording special occasions through photography and have created photographs of weddings, engagements, parties and family gatherings.
As a wedding photographer, I have covered events in the United Kingdom and in Pakistan. My style is a mix of conventional and contemporary photography enabling me to capture the essence of a wedding.
My images have been featured on popular news outlets such as Dawn News and the Express Tribune. I have also won photography competitions including the ISR Photography Competition at University College London (2014) and the Express Tribune Photography Competition (2015). The work I did in Ethiopia as part of a photography project was featured on University College London’s official website and one of my pictures won the people’s choice award. I also led a two week module on digital photography for a group of students at a youth camp in Chicago, United States in 2014.
I am based in New York City and have traveled across Asia, Europe, North America and Africa for work. I have been part of leading international organizations such as World Learning Inc. and the Aga Khan Development Network where I have gained valuable experience as a portrait and landscape photographer.
